Meet the Foxes
Every fox here has a name and a story
The foxes at Pawsitive Beginnings came from the fur trade or other captive-breeding situations and now live in permanent sanctuary care in Key Largo, Florida. Born in captivity, they cannot safely survive in the wild. They have never learned the survival skills wild foxes depend on, including hunting, finding shelter, and avoiding danger. Each fox has a different personality, comfort level, and routine. Some are curious and outgoing. Others are cautious and take time to feel secure. Their care is built around those individual needs through nutritious diets, enrichment, habitat maintenance, veterinary care, and secure outdoor spaces. While exploitation is part of their history, it does not define who they are today. At Pawsitive Beginnings, each fox is given the opportunity to live safely, comfortably, and at their own pace.
