Nicole Navarro has been passionate about animal welfare and rescue from a young age. Growing up on a large horse farm in Western, Pennsylvania nurtured her love of animals.
Nicole was first introduced to foxes in 2018 while volunteering at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Animal Farm in Key West, Florida.

She quickly realized there was a need for facilities that are able to house foxes saved from the fur trade and founded Pawsitive Beginnings Inc in March of 2020.

Here at Pawsitive Beginnings, our mission is to provide a safe and permanent home to foxes that have been saved from the fur trade.
We offer crucial animal-assisted therapy to at-risk youth and adults experiencing intense trauma.
And we impact change through compassion by educating the public on fur farming, and how, as individuals, we can help make fur history.

A private tour of the sanctuary including education about the foxes, their past, a brief history of fur farming and going in with the foxes to give them snacks.
Children under the age of 10 are not permitted to participate in this activity (be on property) and all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
