Her journey with foxes started in 2018 while volunteering at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Animal Farm in Key West, Florida. It was there that she recognized the urgent need for dedicated sanctuaries capable of providing lifelong care for foxes rescued from the fur trade.
Determined to make a difference, Nicole founded Pawsitive Beginnings Inc. in March 2020, creating a safe haven where rescued foxes can heal, thrive, and inspire change.

At Pawsitive Beginnings, our mission is to provide a safe and permanent home for foxes rescued from the fur trade.
We offer crucial animal-assisted therapy to at-risk youth and adults recovering from trauma.
Additionally, we strive to create change through compassion by educating the public about fur farming and how, together, we can help make fur history.
